Community Events

On THURSDAY, AUGUST 8th, 2024 at 6:30 p.m., Bellaire First Methodist Church will host Singer/Songwriter, Ventriloquist, and children's book author, Brent Vernon.  This is sure to be a great show and more information will be provided soon.
A love offering will be taken up for Brent that evening.

If you are interested in being a part of the Grief Share group that meets at the Bellaire First Methodist Church, please contact Myra Thornton for more information. These meetings are OPEN TO ANYONE who is struggling with the loss of a loved one or know someone who is. Please join us as we come together to learn how to overcome our grief.

Pastor Phil's Bible study on discovering our identity in Christ meets every WEDNESDAY from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. It is held at the church and on Facebook live in our Bible Study Facebook group. The study is  partially based on the book "Living Fearless" by Jamie Winship, but other sources will also be used. Videos of the study group meetings are available on our Bible Study page. For more information, please contact Pastor Phil.

Anyone willing to help with the computer during services please contact Pastor Phil, Eric Trio, or Todd Poe.

If anyone is interested and available to help with Monday Meals served by the Living Bread Kitchen and Food Pantry each MONDAY around 4:30 p.m., please contact Nancy Hughes or the church office. All volunteers are welcome. In addition, we are always in need of volunteers to help with transporting the food bank deliveries to the church every TUESDAY morning at 8:00 a.m. If you are able to help carry or have a truck that could be used to move the food, your assistance would be very appreciated. If you are able to help, please contact Jim Brehm or arrive at the church by 8:00 a.m.

**Please note: no food will be distributed on Tuesday mornings.**

Even though we are in the hot weather of summer, we are continuing to collect new or gently used hats, scarves, and gloves to distribute to those who are in need during colder weather. Please drop off any donations at the church or contact Debbie Weeks or the church office for more information.

We are always in need of toiletry items for those we are serving in the community. Items such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, shaving cream, razors, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and any other personal care items would be very appreciated. All sizes are needed. Please contact the church office for more information.
